There's a few things in this I'm not happy with (e.g. he's not smiling as much as in the reference...)... but I really like it, it's one of the first good pictures I've drawn of people on Stonehenge paper...
Time: About 4 hours, give or take. Paper: Stonehenge, natural tone. Medium: Derwent Graphic pencils, soft grade. (9B, 4B, 3B, 2B) ...and some hard grade pencils to sketch the initial outline.... Reference: [link] Note: I flipped the picture over, because for some reason I can't draw subjects facing the right as well as I can draw subjects facing the left... if only I was ambidextrous... Edit: I fixed up a few things and rescanned it, since my scanner is better than the one I used before. Edit #2: Sorry about the new watermark; unfortunately people insist on claiming my art as their own. This work is (C) to GothicXpress [and all other aliases] 2006-onwards. No unauthorised posting, modification or copying in any form without specific permission. The club |
